The method for mounting 12 m of RSS Sloping Roof system in the individual working steps:

001 Das Material 12 m RSS SDFigure 1, the task:
An eave length of in total 12 metres needs to be made safe for work on the roof surface. This example involves a shallow-incline sandwich roof at an eave height of 5 m.

002 die AkteureFigure 2, the material:
The RSS Sloping Roof system is at hand to secure the eave: 4 fence sections @ 3 m and 5 stanchions. Accessories like hooking bars and wooden planks were not necessary in this case. Alternatives here would have required almost 80 m2 of facade scaffolding, for example. The sloping roof system from RSS easily fits into any van, while scaffolding would have required a complete truck.

Comparable facade scaffolding in this case would have caused costs of up to €800.00.

006 das erste GitterFigure 3, beginning assembly:
The first two stanchions are placed in the gutter; properly secured, the fitter then holds the first fence section in place and clicks it into the stanchions.

008 noch ein StnderFigure 4, during assembly:
Both the fence and the stanchion in stable aluminium weigh just over 10 kg and are really easy to handle. The first 6 m are already installed after a good 3 minutes.

The RSS is mounted in three working steps:
1) Mounting the stanchions
2) Clicking in the fences
3) Activating locking devices

The height-adjustable stanchion is set to the correct length and placed in the gutter. The system supports itself based on the safety plate on the facade. The plate leaves no indentations on the facade.

With the help of a gas pressure spring integrated in the stanchions, the serrated wind lock is fixed under the gutter moulding. The stanchion is secured until the wind lock is deactivated again.

The fence section is placed in the hooks of the stanchion and fixed in the top section by the click-in locks. Everything is now firmly in place. No tools or spanners whatsoever are needed for mounting.

The site is safe. The two fitters have placed 12 m of RSS in 5 minutes and 27 seconds and can now start with the work on the roof. The system is dismantled in the reverse order and that process is completed in this case after approx. 4 minutes.
