How do I know if the gutter is strong enough?

This should always be assessed on site. A zinc box or mast gutter with sufficient gutter brackets (every 60 cm and fixed in healthy wood) is usually a strong gutter. Gutters made of plastic or synthetic material are definitely not. The rule of thumb that you can use: you should be able to stand in the gutter. If the gutter is questionable or bad, the system can still be installed, provided that the RSS base plate is also used.

Can I also use this system if there is no gutter?

This is only possible when using the RSS base plate.

Can the RSS Sloping Roof System also be used on a flat roof?

Yes, to apply the system to a flat roof, there must be a raised edge of at least 6 cm behind which the upright can hook. In addition, the round plate of the upright must be able to rest against a hard material, such as a wall or facade.

Do I need to wear a harness during setup?

National legislation applies here. Usually you are required to take safety measures from a standing height of 2.5 meters. Think of a harness or other individual safety measures. The system can also be built up with a cherry picker or lift.

What do I do in case of a storm or strong wind?
